Zenith: The Androma Saga Part 1 Review

Image
Hello, internet! If you are involved in the community of BookTube, then you have probably heard of Sasha Alsberg a.k.a abookutopia. If you have no idea what the heck BookTube is, much less who Sasha Alsberg is, then I'll explain. BookTube is basically a community of YouTubers who's main category of video topics is books and literature. Now that you know, go browse BookTube! I recommend abookutopia (Sasha) polandbananasbooks , jessethereader , and readbyzoe . They're all amazing, and I watch them all the time. Okay, back to the original point! If you are an abookutopia fan, you will know that she is writing a book with author Lindsay Cummings called Zenith: The Androma Saga. You will also know that as of now, it is only available as an eBook and will be released in parts, which is kind of a bummer, but I'm going to read it all the same. But fingers crossed that publishers want to make it into a physical book!  Today I was able to read the first part, and man was i

June Wrap Up & July TBR

Image
Hello, internet! July is coming up in just a few days, and this past month has hosted some great books, and some not so great books. I hope next month will hold new amazing reads that I can't wait to fill my shelf with. Let's get started with my wrap up and TBR! June Wrap Up: The first book that I have for you is Winter Town by Stephen Edmond. Now, I have a pretty awesome story behind this book. I went to Half-Price books to browse around and get some new books, and I just happened to come upon this book. It looked relatively small (250-300 pages, hardcover) and the synopsis looked pretty interesting. I was kind of in the mood for a stand alone book, because I had recently been reading lots of series' (Oh, don't worry. That won't stop) but it just looked really good and had a decent rating on Goodreads, so I though hey, why not? So I'm in the car, we're driving back to my house, and I open up the front cover and lo and behold: it was signed by the

Fallen series by Lauren Kate Book Review

Image
Hello, internet! Recently I finished the Fallen series by Lauren Kate, and I have to say, it wasn't that great. Now, listen here. I like most of the books I read, except for a few special ones that didn't really float my boat, and the Fallen series was one of them. But it didn't totally suck. It was a disappointment, though. I love books with a pretty dress on the cover. But it wasn't just the cover that had spiked my interest. I had read the synopsis on Goodreads, and it really had seemed like something I would enjoy. Well, I was wrong. Though I did enjoy the first book, it went downhill from there. The Fallen series is about a girl, Luce, who falls in love with a boy, Daniel, at her reform school. She soon finds out that he is actually a fallen angel, and she is part of a curse that has lasted for thousands of years. They have spent centuries finding and losing each other while the forces of good and evil attempt to keep them apart.  I have no problems with the

Fairest by Marissa Meyer Book Review

Image
Warning: this book contains spoilers for the book Fairest by Marissa Meyer Hello, internet! I am a huge fan of the Lunar Chronicles. I had been putting off reading Fairest because it just seemed like it wasn't my type of book. But recently I was traveling by airplane, and I get motion sickness when I read while in motion (duh), so I decided to borrow some audio books from the library. So while I was at the airport, I was browsing through the audio books online, and Fairest popped up. Now, here's my deal with audio books. I will listen to them, but I will only listen to books I have read before. I want my first experience with a book to be physically holding and reading it, but I made an exception with Fairest because I was at the airport, and to be honest, my backpack probably wouldn't be able to take one more book. So, I saved the audio book to Overdrive, and went on my way.  So this book is basically about Queen Levana's past, when she was a child and befor

Hello, Internet

Let's get acquainted , shall we? I am a fangirl, as you could tell from the name of the blog. I constantly obsess about books, and only one other person understands my book addiction. She is my parabatai,  and will willingly hyperventilate over books with me. I want you to be able to obsess over books with me, too. So, as frequently as I can, I will write book reviews so you can read them and find out what books to read and what books not to read, and I will add a section where I will voice my opinions (code for obsess/release all the feelings) It is very very likely that no one will even read this page or visit it, but I'm going to do it anyway, because why not? Well, that's it for now. -Ari
