The Book Sacrifice Tag!
The rules are simple: You are given a scenario in which you have to sacrifice a certain book. That's it. If the book I sacrifice is a favorite of yours, then sorry. We're both entitled to our opinions, and that's totally fine.
Scenario 1: Let's start this off with a Zombie Apocalypse! Let's say you're in a book store, just
browsing, when BAM! ZOMBIE ATTACK. An announcement comes over the PA System saying that the military has discovered that the zombies' only weakness is over-hyped books. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you disliked do you start chucking at the zombies knowing that it will count as an over-hyped book and successfully wipe them out?
Answer: Please, please don't hate me. I choose the Maze Runner series by James Dashner. I read the first book, and it really wasn't interesting to me. Maybe someday I'll try reading it again, and maybe I'll like it, but for now I choose that book.
Scenario 2: Let's say that you've just left the salon with an amazing new haircut! But then, a torrential downpour starts! Which sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to save your hair?
Answer: Let me be clear about one thing: If this was an actual thing that happened, you can bet
on your life that I would rather get my new hairdo all wet and messed up than ruin a book. But I guess I would choose Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. It wasn't as good as the first book in the series, Red Queen, but it was still pretty good.

Scenario 3: Let's say you're in a lecture and your English teacher is going on and on about how this classic changed the world, how it revolutionized literature and you get so sick of it that you chuck the classic right at his face because you know what? This classic is stupid and it's worth detention just to show everyone how you feel! What Classic did you chuck?
Answer: So far, nothing. I'm not really a classics reader, and my school doesn't really make us read classics.
Scenario 4: Let's say that you're hanging out at the library when BAM global warming explodes and the world outside becomes a frozen wasteland. You're trapped and your only chance for survival is to burn a book. What is the book you first run to, your least favorite book, what book do you not fully regret lighting?
Answer: One more thing: I would always regret burning a book. But, I did not enjoy Splintered by A.G Howard. At all. If you look back at my October wrap up, you'll find a mini-review about it. The sparknotes version: it was confusing, too fast, bad development, bad characters, glorified mental illnesses (it disgusted me) and the "love interests" were actually just bad people. So that is the book I would burn.
And that brings us to the end of another (albeit short) post. Again, these are just my personal opinions, and if I mentioned any of your favorite books in this tag, I apologize. I might someday try reading those books again, and maybe my mind will be changed. But for now, it's not happening. Thanks for reading,
-Ari
